CHALK ART FESTIVAL COMING TO DOWNTOWN LAKELAND
Artists and Sponsors Needed
On Saturday, February 2nd Downtown Lakeland will be the target of chalk artists young and old during the 2nd Annual Chalk for Charity Festival. Using chalk and liquid tempera and chalk as their medium and pavement as their canvas, professionals and novices will turn the streets of asphalt into an outdoor art display. The exhibitions will be located on Kentucky and Tennessee Avenues. Sponsors are being sought for the available street spaces. There are three canvas size options (6ft x 6ft, 9ft x 9ft and 12ft x 12ft. This is a great opportunity to have your company represented in a creative artistic way while supporting a great cause. The public will be able to purchase tokens to vote for their favorite art with prizes to the entries receiving the most votes. Additionally, there will be a Professional Award presented. There will be a Children’s area where Parents and Grandparents can purchase small squares for them to display their budding talent.
