The Lakeland Center Implements
Changes to Event Parking Policy

Lakeland, FL –By order of the Lakeland City Commission The Lakeland Center is restructuring their event parking fees and guidelines. Event parking for regular-sized vehicles will increase by one dollar to $8 per vehicle, per entry. Parking for oversized vehicles and overnight parking will increase by five dollars to $15 and $35 respectively per vehicle, per entry. The new rates take effect November 10, 2013 and fees  may vary for select event. A full day/multiple entry parking pass may be purchased for $10 regular vehicles and $19 oversized vehicles.

The rate changes reflect several improvements made by The Lakeland Center to better serve patrons and guests. A new point of sale system has been installed at the parking kiosks accepting credit and debit purchases for the first time allowing for greater customer convenience and speedier transactions. The Lakeland Center also provides parking patrols and is continuously maintaining the lots for the comfort of all guests. The new rates are reflective of those charged at similar Central Florida facilities.

“Making changes to the rates was challenging and this decision was not taken lightly by our staff or the City of Lakeland Commissioners. However, this allows The Lakeland Center to offer improved customer service and an overall better experience for our guests. We strive to provide proper staff supervision and maintenance in our lots providing guests a pleasurable experience,” said Executive Director Michael LaPan when asked about the rate restructuring decision.
