Honor Flight from Lakeland Scheduled - Press Release

Honor Flight from Lakeland Scheduled - Press Release

The Honor Flight ®of West Central Florida Board of Directors has announced Honor Flight Mission 19 to depart September 30, 2014, from Lakeland Linder Airport. This will be the second time LLA has hosted an Honor Flight mission.

On November 12, 2013, citizens in and around the LLA Polk County location had the opportunity to honor WW II veterans who by their sacrifice over 70 years ago, changed the world.

Everyone is urged to again support this terrific program. Veterans who wish to participate in the Honor Flight program are urged to visit the website, http://www.honorflightwcf.org/, and apply for a flight. Priority is given to all WW II veterans, along with those other Veterans who may be terminally ill who wish to visit the memorials in Washington, D.C. created to honor their service to our country. Korean and Vietnam War veterans are also encouraged to apply. HFWCF has made a commitment to continue its mission until all veterans have had the opportunity to participate on an Honor Flight.
