Do you have a BIG IDEA that can improve a City service,
save money on operations or cut red tape?  

If so, Mayor Wiggs would like to hear from you!

A new initiative called BIG Idea is an idea competition designed to solicit feasible solutions from citizens on how we can initiate programs, reduce waste, cut red tape and save money on operations. One "Big Idea" will be selected each month and the Mayor will present a crisp $100 bill to the winner.  

The BIG Idea campaign will officially kickoff on Monday, September 1st and it will run through February 2015.

The Basics:

  • You must be a Lakeland resident
  • You must be 18 years or older
  • Only one entry per person, per month will be Considered for the Contest. (You may submit as many ideas as you like, however your first entry will be the one selected for contest consideration. 
  • A person can only win once per year
  • Contest entries will be accepted up until midnight on the last day of each month
  • An idea will not be recognized as an entry if it is something already being done, planned or has been submitted earlier.
