Downtown CSX Rail Crossings to Close Week of April 19th for Maintenance Work

 

CSX Transportation will be conducting maintenance work on its rail line through Downtown Lakeland that will require the closure of the following crossings, starting on Tuesday afternoon, April 19th:

· Ingraham Avenue
· Massachusetts Avenue
· Kentucky Avenue
· Missouri Avenue

These crossings will be closed at the same time, with construction planned to be completed by Friday, April 22nd.

 


Additional CSX Work to Begin on April 18th!

 

CSX plans to close two intersections along the US 98 Corridor to perform maintenance and repair work on railroad wood ties. The intersection at Ingraham Road will be closed beginning April 18th for approximately one week. The following week, beginning on April 25th, the intersection at South Crystal Lake Drive will close for approximately one week. 

All traffic detours are being coordinated by CSX as City personnel are not involved in the repair work. 

 

 

 


CSX Conducting Railroad Repair Work at Multiple Intersections This Week

LAKELAND, FL (March 22, 2016) - On Sunday, March 20, CSX began closing intersections along the US 98 Corridor to perform maintenance and repair work on railroad wood ties. (see map below) All traffic detours are being coordinated by CSX as City personnel are not involved in the repair work. Intersections will remain closed while work is being performed, which is expected to take one week to complete.  

The following intersections will be closed at the railroad tracks:

  • Rose Street
  • Main Street
  • Orange Street
  • Lk Parker Avenue
  • N Crystal Lake Drive
  • S Crystal Lake Drive
  • Sylvester Road
  • Commerce Point Drive

Important Note: Residents are advised to use Ingraham Avenue, which will remain open throughout this process. 



Kentucky Ave Crossing To Close Jan 29 & 30th.

CSX Railroad has scheduled the replacement of rails at the Kentucky Ave Crossing on January 29 & 30. 

Pedestrians and vehicular traffic are encouraged use the Tennessee or Massachusetts Ave crossings.
