LAKELAND, FL (April 4, 2013) -- On Saturday, April 6, 2013 The Ridge Orchid Society will be conducting tutorials on the proper care for orchids including orchid repotting demonstrations at Hollis Gardens located at 702 Eat Orange Street,  Lakeland, FL 33801.  Demonstrations will be done on the top of the each hour from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. If you are  an orchid lover, but intimidated by repotting your plants as they grow, you need to attend this event! The care and feeding of orchids isn't as complicated as you might think, but does need to be done properly to ensure your plants look great and flower often. Bring your orchid questions and be ready to learn!

The Lakeland Garden Club Inc. will also be onsite creating four container gardens throughout the day. The gardens will be constructed at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 1:30 p.m. (between the orchid repotting demonstrations). There will be a drawing once the container gardens have been planted and four randomly selected winners will each take home one of the newly created container gardens. This day of demonstrations is free and open to the public! No reservations are required.
