    Central Florida Healthcare (CFHC) will be providing walk up and drive-thru COVID-19 screening and testing from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM* for all who qualify* at the following locations:

    The self-swab tests are available to those meeting the Center for Disease Contol and Prevention’s criteria for COVID-19 symptoms, in addition to state and age guidelines, according to a news release. Anyone wishing to be tested must register in advance at CVS.com to schedule an appointment. At all test sites, patients are required to stay in their cars and will be directed to the proper location where they will be provided with a test kit and given instructions.

    Drive-Thru Testing Center
    Requirements: Doctor's Referral
    Now located in Parking Lot N13, at West Lane and Morrell, just north of the Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center Campus. It is west of the Lakeland Regional Health Family Health Center, which is at 300 Parkview Place.  

    Those tested at the Drive-Thru Testing site must schedule an appointment and have a doctor’s order for a COVID-19 test and are able to remain in the comfort and safety of their car throughout the process.     COVID-19 Telehealth

    At Lakeland Regional Health, our new dedicated COVID-19 Telehealth Service allows you to have COVID-19 symptoms evaluated by a Lakeland Regional Health Medical Staff provider from the comfort and safety of your home. The service is available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday and Sunday.

    During a virtual visit, a highly-skilled Lakeland Regional Health Medical Staff care provider will assess your symptoms for a possible COVID-19 infection. If a COVID-19 test is necessary, you will then be directed to the most appropriate Lakeland Regional Health testing location based on your symptoms. These locations are our Drive-Thru Testing Center, Respiratory Care Center and Emergency Department at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.

    The cost for this service is $49 and is available for those ages 2 years and older.

    Emergency Department
    If you are having severe symptoms of COVID-19, such as difficulty breathing, please call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest emergency room. If you are experiencing moderate symptoms of COVID-19, please call 863.687.1100 before you visit our Emergency Department to receive instructions.

    Call-Ahead Service:
    Through our new Call-Ahead Service, those with injuries or illnesses that would benefit from an Emergency Department visit can call 863.687.1414 before coming to the Medical Center. During the call, patients are registered, screened, and given an arrival time. Patients will call once they reach the Emergency Department so they can be escorted directly into an assigned room by a team member. To learn more about our call-ahead service, click here.

  • OneBlood: Lakeland Hills Donor Center (Antibody Test)

    Please note, a positive COVID-19 antibody test does not mean you are immune from COVID-19.

    In order to get the COVID-19 antibody test, a complete blood donation must be given. This test is available to donors that complete a whole blood, platelet or double red blood cell or plasma donation. You do not need to be a current donor with OneBlood to receive the COVID-19 antibody test.

    About: With QuestDirect, an individual can request the test and purchase it online. Each test request is reviewed and, if appropriate, an order for testing is issued by a licensed physician. Individuals have the opportunity to speak with a licensed physician about their results. After purchasing the service online, an individual will be prompted to schedule an appointment for a blood draw at one of the 2,200 patient service centers Quest Diagnostics operates around the United States. For the safety of our patients and employees, individuals must not have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 for at least 10 days; wear a face mask; and pass a contact-less temperature check.

    For the health and safety of our patients and staff, we have placed screening desks at the entrance to each of our locations. If you are asymptomatic for the coronavirus, you will be given a mask. If you are symptomatic, you may be sent to one of the following locations for testing:

    We are taking all the necessary precautions on behalf of patients, caregivers and our staff. For the protection of all patients, each of our locations features a sick room and a well room while you wait for your doctor.

    We are prioritizing high-risk patients for testing per CDC recommendations. You may be a candidate for testing if you meet one of the following criteria:
    • Fever or cough/Shortness of breath and have had contact with COVID-19 patient.
    • Fever or cough/Shortness of breath and have a history of travel to or from an affected geographic area with widespread community transmission.
    • Fever or cough/shortness of breath and have been part of a community gathering with confirmed COVID-19 positive patient.
    • Recently traveled on a cruise ship which housed COVID-19 cases.
    • Fever or cough/shortness of breath and are 65 years of age and older with significant chronic medical conditions and/or an immunocompromised state.

    If you believe you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, we encourage you to call your doctor to discuss possible testing and care. In the absence of severe symptoms, you may be encouraged to self-isolate. If you experience chest pain, shortness of breath, or other potentially life-threatening issues, you should go to the nearest emergency room or call 911.
