The Lakeland Toastmasters 2262 Club was chartered over 54 years ago with one goal in mind: create a learning environment that is supportive, positive, challenging, warm and nurturing.
Whether you have a job and are pursuing a promotion, seeking a place in the current job market, part of a service organization or non-profit that needs its message spread to potential donors or just looking to overcome your fears and doubts about speaking in a public forum, the truth is, increasing your confidence as a speaker can help you land that job you want or help you motivate people to take positive action for your cause. Additionally, being a part of Toastmaster's offers many more benefits, in fact, far too many to list here!
...but here are just a few more:
During our regular educational meetings, members are scheduled to make prepared oral presentations (speeches) and to participate in many supportive roles within the club meeting process. One of our greatest advantages is the supportive and caring environment fostered by individuals that want to see you succeed, can relate to how you feel and who want to support you every step of the way in your goals.
On behalf of the Executive Committee and our membership, please be our guest at the next scheduled Lakeland Toastmaster's Club Educational Meeting. We meet on the 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month from 7:00 pm til 9:00 pm at the Lakeland Family YMCA Youth Education Building on Cleveland Heights Blvd in South Lakeland. Hope you will come. You will love it!
