City Manager Tony Delgado will host his third Tony Talks on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in the lobby at City Hall from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. These informal meetings are a great opportunity for our citizens to get to know City Administration and speak directly to the City Manager about subjects that matter to them. Departmental staff will be available as well to help answer questions. The February session will feature an update on key projects and upcoming initiatives before opening the floor for audience questions.
Tony Talks is also a networking opportunity for businesses, community organizations, citizens and newcomers to the area to learn about their local government including upcoming projects and initiatives. City Manager Tony Delgado said, “I look forward to a very relaxed way to share information about what we are doing as a City. This is also an opportunity for me to learn about issues and concerns from our residents on what is impacting them.”
Director of Communications Kevin Cook said, “The City provides a number of communication tools to help get information to our residents but most of those opportunities are digital like our website, social media and live meeting coverage. An informal session over coffee brings a genuine element to the mix with the sharing of ideas through face-to-face conversation.” He added, “If you aren’t following the City already, please like us on all of our social media platforms. You can find us by searching lakelandgov.”
Tony Talks will take place in the lobby at City Hall, 228 South Massachusetts Avenue. For more information on the City of Lakeland, please visit www.lakelandgov.net.
