Brothers and sisters of fallen Officer Arnulfo Crispin held a press conference on December, 22, 2011. The family thanked the community for all of the support they have received. Questions and answers are given in both Spanish and English





Press Conference with Chief Lisa Womack - Tuesday, December 20th

Sadly, Chief Lisa Womack has announced that Officer Arnulfo Crispin, shot in the line of duty Sunday night, will not survive his wound. The men and women of the Lakeland Police Department stood together behind her as a sign of support and solidarity.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the members of the Lakeland Police Department.




Suspect in the shooting of Officer Arnulfo Crispin Arrested.

Officer Arnulfo Crispin, 25, an 18-month veteran of the Lakeland Police Department, was shot while on routine patrol Sunday evening. Crispin responded to a call in the 2200 block of Crystal Grove Lane in Lakeland around 10:15 p.m. and stepped out of his cruiser to speak with 3 unidentified men. Shortly afterward he was shot.

Crispin was taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center late Sunday night and at last update, came out of surgery at 3 a.m. There is no further information his condition.
