Link2Lakeland - New Mobile App

Mobile users can stay connected with the City of Lakeland by using our new Link2Lakeland app.  Users can access the most recent news posts, view upcoming City events with the community calendar, report neighborhood issues and much more. The City’s official FaceBook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel can also be accessed very easily with the touch of the screen.  Citizen engagement makes Lakeland a better place and the community is encouraged to join the conversation through social media to learn what the City does each day and how they can play a part.

    A memo from Governor Scott was issued today that states: In honor and remembrance of the victims of the Oregon shooting and pursuant to a Presidential Proclamation, I hereby direct the flags of the United States and the State of Florida to be flown at half-staff at all local, state and federal buildings, installations and grounds throughout the State of Florida. The flags shall be lowered immediately and remain at half-staff until sunset, Tuesday, October 6, 2015.
  • Phase II of Utility Undergrounding in Downtown Lakeland Begins Monday, October 5th Posted 4 hours ago
    On Monday, October 5th, Lakeland Electric will commence Phase II of its Oak Street Utility Undergrounding project by opening the Oak Street/Tennessee Avenue intersection to through-traffic and closing the Oak Street/Kentucky Avenue intersection for a period of 30 days. During this phase of construction, McKeel Academy parents will be asked to enter the drop-off/pick-up car line on Peachtree Street from North Florida and Massachusetts Avenue. Periodic lane closures can still be expected at the Oak/Tennessee intersection outside of McKeel Academy's drop-off/pick-up times.

    Lakes Education/Action Drive (LE/AD), in partnership with Lakeland Clean & Beautiful, the City of Lakeland and Lakeland Vision present Lakeland’s 12th Annual Cardboard Boat Challenge and Lakes Festival on Saturday, October 10, 2015, from 8:30 a.m. – noon at the Lake Hollingsworth boat ramp (race starts at 10 a.m.). This event is designed to help raise public awareness about our lakes and the precious resources we have in our area. Environmental exhibitors will provide fun activities for children and supply information on area lakes and water resources. Entertainment will be the Cardboard Boat Challenge!
