Mixed Media Baubles

As a disabled Navy veteran who struggles to manage my PTSD symptoms, I needed something mindful to do; to cut out the chatter of every-day life and focus.  I didn’t want to offer a product that looks like everyone else’s, that’s made with child labor or that you can see every 3rd woman on the street wearing. My designs are fractured. They don’t go with anything you’re wearing. Yet, they go with everything. No matchy-match, color-coordinated stuff.
Jewelry takes people’s focus off your wrinkles. No time for lipgloss, ironed shirt or eyebrows before running the kiddies off to school? Throw on a pair of my handmade earrings in a jiff. It will increase your face value!

Soap for the Soul

Soap for the Soul is in its fourth year of business making fine, handcrafted soap.  Our soaps are made with only the finest vegan oils and botanicals.  Jane Gavin is an Advanced Certified Soapmaker, one of only three in the state of Florida, and she makes all of the soaps in small batches assuring quality and care in each bar.  We stock a variety of essential oil as well as fragrance oil soaps, and feature a "Soap of the Month."  We also offer Doggie Soap for your best four-legged friend which repels fleas and ticks naturally with citronella essential oil.

Commercial soaps are manufactured in large factories (often located overseas), using synthetic detergents, and most have the glycerin removed.  Glycerin is a "humectant", which means that it attracts and retains moisture on your skin.  It is like a natural skin lotion in the soap.  With handcrafted soaps, glycerin remains intact in the soap.  Soapmaking is both a science and an art.  Stop by out booth and see our beautiful, all natural soaps made in America by a local artisan.  We'd love to meet you.

Check out our website for more information and learn about our community projects.

The Soap Magician

I offer handmade and handcrafted soaps made with quality oils, butters, and botanicals from around the world.  I offer a variety of vegan soaps, as well as Goat's Milk soaps, glycerin soaps, and even soap for your doggy.

I began my journey of making my own soap in 1998 out of necessity. Commercial soaps and brand name products caused severe allergic reactions and I was forced to research more natural alternatives. From there The Soap Magician was born!

I also hand crochet bath accessories made from 100% USA cotton. In addition, I make candle melts and container candles that range from 2 oz (great for travel) to 8 oz. All of my candles are scented to the maximum amount of fragrance recommended. Candles are a blend of soy and paraffin for a lasting scent throw.

You can find all of my products at my website www.TheSoapMagician.com, follow me on Facebook at www.FaceBook.com/SoapMagician, and the Downtown Farmers Curb Market every Wednesday and Saturday.

I look forward to seeing you! ~ Sharon Burnett, The Soap Magician
