QUESTION 3 - Why are you installing different types of poles?
The existing wood poles will be replaced with steel poles. These steel poles will be able to better withstand high winds to harden Lakeland Electric’s infrastructure against future severe storms. This will be done in accordance with the National Electric Safety Code.
QUESTION 4 - Will any construction work take place on my personal property?
All construction work will take place within existing road right-of-way limits. After construction is complete the ground areas around the new pole installations will be restored to the previous condition.
QUESTION 5 - Why are you changing pole locations?
Lakeland Electric must meet established Department of Transportation clearances for safe zones that mandate poles be placed at least 4 feet behind the curb.
