    *  The Lakeland Fire Department is an Advanced Life Support (ALS) non-transport department. 

    *  LFD has 149 employees.

    *  LFD has 7 fire stations, an administrative facility, a training center and a vehicle maintenance facility.

    *  Our total response area is 80 square miles

    *  In 2010, LFD responded to:

        -  16,780 emergencies

        -  3,325 routine inspections

        -  1,025 construction plans reviewed

        -  100+ investigations / follow-ups

        -  1,000+ public education programs, demonstrations, and/or speaking engagements
