Chalk for Charities, February 1, 2014

Driver Engineers Kawailani "Kui" Kuikahi and Margaret "Maggie" Colson represented the Lakeland Fire Department at the annual Chalk for Charities street art event. This year's entry was a fire boat at sea, keeping with the department's fire theme in every year's submission. The LFD artist were back this year after winning a top prize in 2013 for their antique firetruck piece.

Lt. Heath Seeber Wins Big at 2014 PigFest

LFD's very own Lt. Heath Seeber won the title of Reserve Grand Champion for both his Brisket and Pulled Pork at Lakeland's 2014 Pigfest. The annual BBQ competition draws crowds of nearly 60,000 from all over North America as well as hundreds of competitors in both Professional and Backyard BBQ divisions, the later of which Lt. Seeber did exceptionally well in. Congratulations to Heath and his entire team at the Rusty Pig!
