Circulation Lending Guidelines

      

Library Cards:     

FREE Library cards to all Polk County residents with proof of address
Materials are checked out for two weeks with a maximum of two renewals.

  • There is no fee to use the library unless materials are returned after the due date. 
    FINE: $0.10/item/day for a cap of $3 per item and $10 total.     (We really just want the items back!) 

  • Lose the item? Pets destroy an item? We'll ask for the cost of replacement. 

  • Please let staff know when an item is in need of repair.  Just place an easily visible note on the cover.

  • All materials can be returned at any Public Library in Polk County.  The delivery system will allow for return to the owning library location. Most locations have convenient outdoor drops available 24/7.

This desk is the hub of activity for those who need help finding materials on the floor or  with research.

Staff are knowledgeable on the use of the databases the Library subscribes to and can assist with questions of all types.

Schedule the tutor rooms at the Main Library.

Proctor your online exam. - Call to set up a convenient time.

Provide one to one computer tutoring by appointment only.

 PAWS TO READ PROGRAM

Every 4th Saturday from 11am to 12:30pm in the Main Library Meeting Room - kids have the opportunity to practice their reading skills in front of happy four legged listeners!
