Title:  The Lakeland Armory

Description:  The Armory was located on Lakeland Hills Boulevard near 
                     what is now Lakeland Regional Medical Center.  It was built as 
                     as a WPA project in 1935 at a cost of $32,000.  It was largely 
                     abandoned in 1974 when the Florida National Guard moved to a
                     new site near the airport in 1974.  It was torn down in 1976.
