The Subject Files contain materials relating primarily to Lodwick's personal rather than professional life. Topics include Iowa Wesleyan College and Harvard Business School, from both of which Lodwick received degrees, his service as civilian war consultant in to the United States in Europe, his home at Palmola Drive in Lakeland, and the Army air Force. The types of records include biographical sketches, correspondence, army manuals and reports, brochures, deeds, leases, speeches, and writings.

Of particular interest are the materials relating to Lodwick's private residence on Palmola drive in Lakeland. Correspondence documents the difficult negotiations leading to his purchase of the home in 1941 and a property inventory and list of improvements reveal the opulent lifestyle which Lodwick led.
