CHRYSSIE TAVRIDES COLLECTION RG5150 1943 - 1989 SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE Portrait artist and illustrator Chryssie Bilder Tavrides was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended several art schools. She has illustrated books and film strips, and has had one-man shows, joint invitational shows, and juried exhibitions. She has also lectured and judged. She has permanent collections in the Polk Museum of Art, Lakeland Regional Hospital, and in other Florida cities. Mrs. Tavrides designed the 1984 Mayfaire-by-the-Lake show poster, which was recognized with an Award of Excellence from the Georgia Pacific Company. 1 Box - .5' |
