| | Back | | The John Cox Elementary School on North Massachusetts Avenue was one of several schools built in Lakeland in the mid to late 1920's. It opened its doors to students in 1928 and continued to serve the community as a school until 1990. It was later renovated by the Watson Clinic Foundation for use as the Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine Clinic. |
