| | Back | | Completed in late 1914, the Lake Morton School opened its doors to the former students of the Lake Wire School in January 1915. The Lake Morton School was destroyed by fire on February 21, 1963. The site of the school on the corner of Lake Morton Drive and East Palmetto Street is now the home of the Lakeland Public Library. |
