SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE |
This collection contains material from the Santa Claus "football" Bowl held in Lakeland from 1951 until the mid 60's. Until 1960, the games were sponsored by the National Boys Football Foundation, then the Polk County Boys Football League sponsored the games - pitting the Polk All-Stars against an out-of-county opponent. There are two scrapbooks with newspaper articles from 1956 - 1958.
