Lakeland High School @1910

The records in this category document a small portion of the history of some of Lakeland's colleges and private and public schools. The Records of the Child's Garden of Learning, RG5505, document the history of one of Lakeland's more exclusive private elementary schools. Included are commencement programs, student art work, scripts from student plays, photographs of commencement ceremonies, plays, and other student activities, and videotapes and audiotapes of the school's annual commencements.

The Lakeland High School Collection, RG4100, contains a wide variety of material relating to Lakeland High School and its students over a 75 year period. Included are scattered runs of student publications, a comprehensive run of yearbooks dating to 1924, commencement programs, photographs, and programs from athletic events, school plays, and concerts.

The Lakeland Schools Collection, RG4107, and the Lakeland Colleges Collection, RG3001, include miscellaneous publications and realia relating to several public and private schools and colleges in Lakeland.

The Florida Southern College Collection, RG4500, contains copies of publications of Florida Southern College. Among the most interesting materials in the collection are the run of college yearbooks from 1924 to 1993 and the brochures, pamphlets, and magazine articles documenting the work of Frank Lloyd Wright on the Florida Southern campus.
