Series II, Estate Files, 1931-1957
Most of the records in this series post-date Drane's death and document the management of his estate by his executors/trustees. Drane in his will had established a trust with a duration of ten years. The trustees named in the will were to manage the trust for ten years and then to divide the estate equally between Drane's two daughters.
The records document the executors/trustees management of the trust and include a copy of Drane's will, an appraisal of the value of the estate at the time of Drane's death in 1947, annual reports and inventories by the executors/trustees of the estate, correspondence, court orders and petitions, mortgages, leases, bank pass books, receipts, and estate tax forms.
The records in this series are arranged alphabetically by subject or type of record and chronologically within folders.
