Scope and Content Note
Edythe Turner grew up in Mulberry, Florida. She was an army nurse during World War II. After the war, she served as chief nurse at Fitzsimons Army Hospital in Denver, Colorado. While there, she nursed President Dwight Eisenhower during his recovery from a heart attack he suffered. The collection consists of newspaper articles, a 1957 Presidential Inauguration invitation and program, and photographs of her and President Eisenhower at Fitzsimons Army Hospital.
