The Digital Images Collection consists of images from the Lakeland Public Library's various collections of visual images and documents mounted online in a searchable format through a software program known as Contentdm.  The program allows users to search for images through a variety of entry points, including name, subject, and title.

Each "hit" will appear as a thumbnail with a link to a larger image.  Each image or document is accompanied by basic cataloging or metadata, which provides a description and basic information about the image.  Included are images from our many photograph collections, the post card collection and the Florida Citrus Label Collection.  We have also included materials from a variety of document collections, including commencement, baccalaureate, and class reunion programs from Rochelle High School, theater programs from Lakeland Little Theatre, early brochures from the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, and transcripts of interviews with cadets, instructors and civilian employees from the Lodwick School of Aeronautics.

Images are arranged by collection name, e.g. the Earl Morgan Savage Collection, but it is possible to search across collections. New images and documents  will be added to the online collection regularly.
