Crime Stoppers Bulletin - Grand Theft Suspects Save-A-Lot

        

On Saturday, January 11, 2014, two unknown persons stole a brown wallet containing a food stamp card, Florida ID and cash from the victim while she was at Save-A-Lot, 2021 George Jenkins Boulevard.

Suspect #1 is a white female approximately 30 years old, heavyset, long brown hair, wearing a white Nike shirt and dark shorts.

Suspect #2 is a heavyset white male, wearing a white shirt and dark pants.

Anyone with information on the identification of these individuals are asked to contact the Lakeland Police Department at 863-834-6900, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-8477. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, you must contact Crime Stoppers.

Crime Stoppers Bulletin - Fraudulent Application

On Thursday, January 30, 2014, at 5:28 p.m., the male subject pictured went to the AT & T store, 1384 Town Center Drive, and fraudulently upgraded to six new phones. He identified himself as Thomas McCasey and completed the contract under the business name of “Food-N-Fun”.

The suspect is a black male, wearing black pants and black/white shirt.

Anyone with information on the identification of the pictured individual is asked to contact the Lakeland Police Department at 863-834-6900, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-8477. To remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward, you must contact Crime Stoppers.

March Chief's Chat

Lakeland Police Department’s next Chief’s Chat will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Community Room of the Lakeland Police Department, located at 219 N Massachusetts Avenue. This month attendees will hear a presentation about the function of public information and community relations.


Volunteers Needed for Sun N Fun

The Lakeland Police Athletic / Activities League (PAL) need volunteers for this year’s Annual Sun n Fun Fly-In Convention scheduled for Tuesday, April 1 – Sunday, April 6, 2014.

Anyone who would like to help and/or have middle and high-school age children who need community service hours are encouraged to participate.  You must be at least 13 years old to volunteer. Volunteers 13 through 17 must have the approval of your parent or legal guardian. 

Volunteers will receive free Fly-In Day Pass, a T-Shirt, free lunch daily, and free drinks during the work shift.

There are two daily volunteer shifts at the Fly-In: 6:45 am to 11:00 am and 10:45 am to 3:00 pm.
