On November 20, 2014 at approximately 8:00 a.m., the Lakeland Police Department responded to the area of Palmetto Street and Clayton Avenue in reference to a group of suspicious juveniles with back packs. The caller advised they were throwing trash into the street and walking up into the homeowner’s property.  Officer Troy Smith who responded to the area observed two juveniles at the corner of Lexington Street and Ingraham Avenue. After the juveniles spotted the marked patrol cars, they fled north bound. Ofc. Troy Smith then observed one of the juvenile identified as Jernarious Lamar at 816 Ingraham Avenue jump a fence and he left behind a black backpack on the ground. Lamar fled again from another officer on Lexington Street and was later apprehended by at 700 South Ingraham Avenue after being spotted by an officer on the perimeter.

 

The black backpack dropped by Lamar contained stolen property from 1035 Lexington Avenue. Several other items stolen from this residence was found nearby on the ground. While Lamar was being booked-in at the Lakeland Police Department, officers located stolen property from Lexington in his pocket.

 

Detectives are currently working the case in an attempt to identify the other suspects and any other possible burglaries in the area. All of the stolen property from 1035 Lexington was recovered and returned back to the victim.

 

Arrested:  Jernarious Lamar, 16 yrs of age, 618 N. Grady Avenue, Lakeland, Fla.

Charges: Burglary to Unoccupied Dwelling

               Grand Theft

               Resisting Arrest W/O Violence


UPDATE: 

Diep Pham, 62, of Lakeland was arrested at 4:40 p.m. from her home in Lakeland. Pham has been charged with Burglary and Petit Theft. She will be transported to PCSO after processing. The stolen phone was recovered.

 

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

On Thursday, July 17, 2014 an unknown suspect took a gray Samsung Galaxy Exhibit from a Buick Le Sabre parked at the Lakeland Regional Medical Center Family Health Center, 300 Parkview Place. The victim has a security application that took a photo of the subject who tried to access her phone.

The subject is described as a Hispanic female, last seen wearing a green dotted dress.

On January 29th, sometime 11:00pm, unknown suspects entered the business, Painting with a Twist, 3670 Harden Blvd by going through an access point on the roof. Once inside this business, the suspects cut a hole in the drywall and entered Midas Jewelers, 3666 Harden Blvd. After gaining access into Midas, the alarm was disabled and the suspects gained entry into the safe. An undetermined amount of jewelry was stolen from the safe and display cabinet.  An inventory is being conducted at this time and there is no estimated dollar amount available.

Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians processed the scene of both businesses and the rooftop collecting evidence. Anyone with information should contact Det. Neal Robertson at 863-834-6971.

He is a person of interest in a Residential Burglary that occurred on November 21, 2013 at 1604 Crystal Park Circle in the city of Lakeland.
