On Thursday, April 3, 2014, the Lakeland Police Department will recognize ten (10) students during an award presentation of the “Do the Right Thing” Program.  The ceremony will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room at the Lakeland Police Department.


The City of Lakeland Police Department honors children in the community who distinguish themselves by their exemplary behavior. Nominations are received and children are recognized for their accomplishment, attitude, or outstanding effort, which makes them a positive role model for their peers.


We need your help.

Bi-annually the City of Lakeland Police Department honors children in our community who distinguish themselves by exhibiting exemplary behavior. If you know a child whose accomplishment, attitude, or outstanding effort make them a positive role model for their peers, please nominate them for this special award.

To submit a nomination, download and complete an application form found on our website and return it to Officer Lori Edwards via email at Lori.Edwards@polk-fl.net, or via PCSB courier at Rochelle School of the Arts or mail to the address below:
