Neighborhood Services Bureau

The Neighborhood Services Bureau is comprised of the Uniform Patrol Division, Training and Communications. Working in collaborative partnerships between this division and those of the Investigative Services Bureau and the Special Services Bureau are what make help Lakeland Police successfully meet the departmental goals and handle the challenges that present themselves.

The Neighborhood Services Bureau is staffed by 2 Captains, 6 Lieutenants, 20 Sergeants, 93 sworn officers and 10 Public Safety Aides. This Bureau also encompasses the Communications Center, which has 43 full time civilian personnel. 


 

Captains - Two Captains, who report direct to an Assistant Chief of Police oversee the Uniform Patrol Division. 

 

Training - The Training Division is led by a Lieutenant and encompasses the department Mini-Academy, the Field Training Program and Advanced Training and Career Development for officers.

Uniform Patrol - This is the largest area of the department. This is the area of the department of uniformed personnel who respond to calls for service from members of our community. 
 

Communications Section - The Communications Section is very instrumental in the performance of our department. These personnel are the initial point of contact for those who need police service.
