Do you have an iPhone or Andriod for Sale, how about a computer or other electronic device, or perhaps some jewelry? Do you need a safe place to conduct a transaction from an online advertisement such as Craigslist? The Lakeland Police Department lobby is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week/365 days a year. You can come into our lobby and have a safe place to conduct your transaction.

We encourage our residents to use our lobby as a safe place to conduct transactions when meeting someone from an online site to buy or sell items. Transactions for the sale, or purchase, of weapons is strictly prohibited at the police department, but anything else is encouraged.

We feel as though using our lobby to conduct transactions will take any worry or stress off our residents of being the victim of a possible crime. If the buyer/seller knows that you are meeting at the police department and they had possible criminal activity in mind, this will be a deterrent for them. Our goal is to give our residents a safe place and peace of mind when conducting transactions.

REMINDER:  You MAY NOT bring any type of weapon into the LPD lobby or conduct the sale of a weapon from our lobby.
