Community Response Team (CRT)

The Community Response Teams specialize in problem solving in neighborhoods where the length of time needed to resolve the problem has been expanded due to the issues involved.  The Community Response Teams conduct targeted and mission oriented police activities. The officers that comprise these teams are highly motivated individuals whose primary responsibility is to combat street level crimes such as narcotics, robberies, burglaries and prostitution. These issues reduce the quality of life in our city and the teams are dedicated to bringing resolutions for our community.

They may be called upon to adapt their schedules and tactics as needed, often on very short notice.  The teams are responsive to neighborhood complaints and are supported by timely and actionable crime analysis.

The Community Response Team (CRT) is divided into two groups, CRT-A and CRT-B. CRT-A is supervised by Sergeant Cheryl Kimball, all members on this team are also members of SWAT. CRT-B is supervised by Sergeant Marvin Tarver, this team works mainly in covert investigations/operations.
