BUMBLEBEE PRESENTS VISTE’S CANNED TUNA CONCERT |

November 2, 2009 (Lakeland, FL) – Gather up your family and friends for an evening of music, food, and fun! VISTE’s “Canned Tuna” Concert, sponsored by Bumble Bee Tuna, will be held Friday, December 11, 2009 from 6-9 p.m. at the Lake Mirror Promenade in Lakeland.
Admission is a donation of one can of tuna per person for the VISTE food bank. The “Canned Tuna” Concert will feature music from local bands, Quittin’ Time, Legacy and The Rogues. There will be food and drink vendors on site so bring a blanket and enjoy the lake setting with music under the stars.
Event features include a wreath-making contest where local businesses, schools and organizations will compete for the best holiday wreath made with cans of tuna. The wreaths and tuna will be distributed to VISTE’s elderly clients.
Photo-ops with Santa will also be available.
VISTE (Volunteers in Service to the Elderly) provides a unique and valued service to senior citizens in Lakeland, Bartow, Ft. Meade and Mulberry. Last year alone, 1,391 households received commodities from VISTE.
