Downtown Farmers Curb Market Seeks Vendors

SELL YOUR PRODUCTS IN THE HEART OF DOWNTOWN
LAKELAND, FL (September 20, 2006) – Sell your home-grown produce and plants, fresh cut flowers, crafts, and art right in the heart of Downtown Lakeland! The Downtown Farmers Curb Market is seeking qualified vendors for its Grand Re-Opening at its NEW location!  Starting October 7, 2006, the Market will open in a more vendor and customer friendly location at the plaza of the Curtis Peterson Building, located at 200 North Kentucky Avenue.

Vendors who would like the opportunity to sell their products Downtown at a market that is growing fast and earning a reputation for high quality, are encouraged to attend the vendor orientation this Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at the new Market location, 200 North Kentucky Avenue, in the plaza of the Curtis Peterson Building, across from the Downtown Crispers.  Bring actual examples of your wares or photographs if possible.  Coffee and doughnuts will be provided.

Jim Luna, Market Manager, is excited about the move and feels vendors will benefit greatly. He said, “It’s a great community space!  There’s more shade and covered areas and it can be seen off of Main Street, which is the next best thing to actually being in Munn Park.”  Luna added, “Plus, we will share every event that is held in Munn Park, and that will create a lot of opportunities for the vendors.”

The Downtown Farmers Curb Market is an inexpensive way for vendors to market their wares in a friendly, but competitive environment.  It provides farmers, gardeners, and other artisans the opportunity to start an enterprise, exchange information, build a reputation for trust, and earn income.  Patrons who visit the Market find it enjoyable to conduct business face-to-face and purchase from vendors who have direct ties and personal commitments to the products that they sell.
