CONSTRUCTION INCLUDES TURN LANES AND TRAFFIC SIGNAL |
LAKELAND, FL (March 7, 2008) - The City of Lakeland Public Works Department will begin construction at the intersection of Harden Boulevard and Grasslands Boulevard (which will also be the terminus of the East – West Connector / Edgewood Extension) on March 10, 2008.
The construction will consist of the extending the north and south left turn lanes and construction of a north bound right turn lane. This project will include the installation of a traffic signal.
Motorists should expect minimal delay since there are no scheduled lane closures only narrowing of lanes adjacent to construction. At times during the traffic signal installation, motorists can expect delay due to stopping traffic for mast arm installation. This project is scheduled to be completed within eight weeks. Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution when construction is in progress.
