LAKELAND, FL (December 3, 2008) Lake Mirror Park will play host to jazz saxophonist Eric Darius and his band as the Central Florida Eurocars Music on the Promenade takes the stage for a special holiday show on December 19, 2008 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m.
The holiday music event will take place at the Lake Mirror amphitheater which is between Hollis Garden and the Lake Mirror Center. The event is FREE to the public and families are encouraged to attend. There will be food and drink vendors on site so bring a blanket and enjoy the lake setting with music under the stars.
Contemporary jazz artist Eric Darius and his quartet will take the stage on December 19th in support of his newest album Goin All Out on Blue Note/Capitol Records. Goin All Out is currently top contemporary jazz album on the Billboard charts. His awesome talent and unjaded enthusiasm make him an instant favorite everywhere he performs. Darius quotes his influences as John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Kenny G and David Sanborn. He is a multi-talented musician who plays the saxophone, flute and the piano. This rising star has fast become a regular on jazz radio. He is an exciting performer whose versatility will be demonstrated the instant he hits the stage. Darius will be sure to excite the crowd during the performance with holiday favorites and smooth jazz hits from his repertoire.
