PHONE BOOK RECYCLING

Curbside Pick-up and Designated Drop-off Locations
The City of Lakeland Solid Waste Department will be recycling phone books from January 7th through February 29th. Curbside recycling is available to all City of Lakeland residents living in single family dwellings. To receive prompt collection, place your phone books in your blue recycling bin with your regular recycling at the curb no later than 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled recycling day. Residents living in apartment complexes or residents not living within the City limits can dispose of their phone books at any of the designated drop-off locations listed below.

• City Hall - 228 Massachusetts – east parking lot (across from Lakeland Electric)
• Fire Department Training Center – 901 Granada St
• Lakeland Highlands Middle School – 740 Lake Miriam Dr
• Processing Center – 320 N Eastside Dr
• Solid Waste Facility – 501 Evelyn Av

Small businesses can dispose of their phone books at the above designated drop-off locations. Businesses with large quanties of phone books may call Solid Waste at 834-8778 to schedule delivery of containers.

Important: Phone books can not be recycled if they are wet. Please do not place phone books in recycling bins if it is raining. Please wait until the next scheduled recycling pickup.
