The City Commission met on Friday morning to review the agenda for the upcoming City Commission Meeting on Monday, November 5th at 3 PM. Here a few Update on the Go! highlights of some of those agenda items.
On Monday, October 29th, in preparation for Friday's Agenda Study, Interim City Commissioner Don Selvage was sworn in by City Clerk, Kelly Koos.
The date for the special election to permanently fill this interim seat has been set to January 15, 2019, and the estimated cost will be approximately $65K.

We are excited to announce the City of Lakeland has begun a data-sharing partnership with the Waze Connected Citizens Program (CCP). Waze is a GPS navigation mobile app that allows drivers to share real-time traffic and road information.
The Club Hispanico de Lakeland, in partnership with LakelandPD, hosted the 21st Annual Hispanic Festival on Saturday, October 27th at the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror.

The calendar features beautifully photographed SPCA Florida rescued pets and buff Lakeland firefighters. Each month of the year also features helpful safety tips and information from both organizations.
