Public Notice: 2019 Lakeland Special Municipal Election Race Selection & Voting System Audit
Notice is hereby given that the City of Lakeland Canvassing Board will convene at the following times:
January 18, 2019, in the City Commission Conference Room, at Lakeland City Hall, 228 S Massachusetts Av, Lakeland at 8 a.m. to certify the official results for the 2019 Lakeland Special Municipal Election and select a precinct for the Post-Election Audit.
January 24, 2019 at the Election Operations Center, 70 Florida Citrus Bl., Winter Haven, FL 33880 at 4 p.m. to conduct the Post-Election Audit.
Anyone deciding to appeal a decision by the Canvassing Board on the above subject matter at these meetings will need a record of the proceedings and for purposes of that appeal, may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be made.
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 286.26, Florida Statute, persons with disabilities needing special accommodation to participate in these proceedings, or those requiring language assistance (free of charge) should contact the City of Lakeland ADA Specialist, Jenny Sykes.
