Butterfly Gardening Workshop

Saturday, September 20, 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

St. Paul Lutheran School, 4450 Harden Blvd., Lakeland (room 120)

Bring the whole family to learn how to attract butterflies to your yard. Attend the program, receive a free milkweed plant courtesy of the City of Lakeland Parks & Recreation Department, and participate in youth craft projects. No registration is required for this workshop. For more information contact the FFL program at (863) 519-1047.

Extension Centennial Celebration & Extension Open House

Munn Park Garden Extravaganza

Saturday, October 25, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

Munn Park, 201 E. Main Street, Lakeland

Enjoy a free family day of activities while exploring the many plants and flowers for sale at the 30th Annual Munn Park Garden Extravaganza featuring over 50 vendors who will be selling a large variety of plants & flowers for yards and patios, as well as beautiful and unusual garden art. Attend garden presentations by Bill Koen and browse garden-related crafts here. A small standard flower show will be held at Arts on the Park, just adjacent to Munn Park. There will also be a horticulture show in the park, and Master Gardeners on hand to answer all questions, and soil testing will be done for $3.00. A new plant introduction and many informational handouts will be available. Food & drinks will also be available. Cost: FREE
