Carpenter’s Way Improvements

The City proposes to widen the existing private roadway, construct sidewalks, and make drainage improvements. Road construction plans are being developed by the City’s Engineering Division. The City has acquired the necessary right of way for this project. Construction is scheduled for Summer 2010.

The Carpenter’s Way Improvement project is a recommendation which came from an east-west traffic study that was completed by DRMP, Inc. (Orlando, FL) in 2007-08. The study evaluated Carpenter’s Way between U.S. 98 North and N. Florida Ave. The study found that the traffic network would be improved by acquiring and improving the private section of Carpenter’s Way located between Corporate Ave. and Wedgewood Estates Blvd.

This project is funded through Transportation Impact Fees.
