Pollution Prevention PSA's

The City of Lakeland Lakes & Stormwater Division is pleased to introduce our updated 2013 Pollution Solution public service announcements (PSAs). We created three new eye-catching stormwater education video clips. Using a humorous game show to deliver our message, the video clips succinctly explain how citizens can be the solution to water pollution. Talented City of Lakeland employees starred in, designed, filmed, and produced all three PSAs.

Pollution Solution PSA - Pet Waste

True or false:
Pet waste is just fertilizer; it's good for the environment.

The new PSAs will broadcast at the Lakeside Village Cobb Theater and the Winter Haven Grand 10 Cobb Theaters.

Pollution Solution PSA - Yard Waste

True or false:
Yard waste left in the street is NOT pollution, because it's biodegradable

The new PSAs will broadcast at the Lakeside Village Cobb Theater and the Winter Haven Grand 10 Cobb Theaters.

Pollution Solution PSA - Tools & Equipment

True or false:
Washing tools and equipment outdoors won't harm the environment.

The new PSAs will broadcast at the Lakeside Village Cobb Theater and the Winter Haven Grand 10 Cobb Theaters.

The stormwater utility fee funds this outreach program and many other public outreach campaigns related to water pollution prevention. Additionally, the fee pays for various capital improvement projects designed to protect and enhance Lakeland’s waterbodies.
