A dedication for the signs was held August 16, 2002. Community citizens, LE/AD board members (Dr. Bud Othoson and David Hafer), City Lakes and Stormwater staff members (Johnna Martinez and Karen Vallar), Southwest Florida Water Management District (John Walkinshaw), Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program (Christina Hummel), and the Ledger were present. The installation of the displays at Lake Bonny Park brings the total of 16 lakes within Polk County having lakeside displays!
