LAWTON CHILES MIDDLE ACADEMY
LCM1

The kids at Lawton Chiles first made their mark in January 2005 by joining the Adopt-A-Lake program and pledging to be stewards of neighboring Lake Wire. Mrs. Viertel, at that time LCMA’s 6th grade science teacher, and her lab classes participated in trash clean-ups all along the lakeshore, picking up bags and bags of debris that were harmful to both the lake’s health and appearance.

This year Mrs. Viertel began teaching 8th grade integrated science and the kids from LCMA have continued their efforts and earned an AAL sign for their school. Good job guys!!
