Traffic Sign Maintenance
Signs

The Signs section is responsible for installation and maintenance of all traffic signs within the City of Lakeland.

The Signs Section is responsible for the fabrication and installation of traffic control signs on City streets. These signs can be the typical stop sign, street name sign, speed limit sign, or school crossing sign. There are times when specialized signs for other City departments and divisions are needed; recent examples would be the roadway signs at the Lakeland Linder Airport and the decorative way-finder signs on the major state highways running through the City.

The City does not install or maintain signs on State Highways within the City. Florida Department of Transportation District 1 in Bartow, FL is responsible for all roadways designated State highways within City of Lakeland.
