Pipkin Road. The extension will be a two-lane roadway with a traffic signal at the new intersection with W. Pipkin Road. On September 16, 2002, the City’s consultant, DRMP, Inc. (Orlando, FL), presented the recommended alignment for this road extension to the City Commission. The Commission unanimously approved the alignment. An engineering contract was awarded to DRMP, Inc. on December 2, 2002 for the preparation of roadway construction plans. Construction plans were completed in May of 2004 and shelved pending funding for construction. On May 1, 2006, the City Commission awarded an acquisition services contract to American Acquisition Group, LLC (Tampa, FL) to negotiate the purchase of the required right of way for this project. Right of way acquisition is complete.
