Water Distribution is engaged in an ongoing GPS project. The objective is to locate all of Lakeland's Water Facilities and record the information within the GIS Data Base. Approximately 30% of the system has been completed. The recorded information will aid in future construction of all underground utilities and in maintenance of the intricate system of Water Piping managed by Water Distribution.
