| Water Restrictions |
All Water Uses |
These restrictions went into effect on January 16, 2007 and will remain until rescinded by the Southwest Florida Water Management District. These restrictions apply to the use of water from public and private water utilities as well as the use of all wells and surface water sources (ponds, rivers, etc.). This internet posting is only a summary. All water users should review Water Shortage Order SWF 07-02 and the Southwest Florida Water Management Districts Water Shortage Plan for complete details; both items are available online (at www.WaterMatters.org ).

Lawn (Turf, Sod or Grass) & Landscape (Garden Plants) Watering |
The one day a week schedule below must be followed. Properties less than two acres in size may only water before 8am or after 6pm (But not both). Properties two acres or larger may only water before 10 am or after 4 pm (But not both). Variances are available, through the Southwest Florida Water Management District, if a property proposes an alternate irrigation plan (such as splitting a large property into two pieces and assigning a different day to each piece). Click Here To Download An Application Hand watering (with automatic shut-off) or micro-irrigation of non-lawn landscaping is not currently restricted by day but the restricted times above must be followed. These restriction apply to private residences and to commercial landscape.

Private Residences and Commercial Landscape |
Addresses Ending in 0 or 1 may only irrigate on Monday
Addresses Ending in 2 or 3 may only irrigate on Tuesday
Addresses Ending in 4 or 5 may only irrigate on Wednesday
Addresses Ending in 6 or 7 may only irrigate on Thursday
Addresses Ending in 8 or 9* may only irrigate on Friday
* and locations without a discernible address (such as common areas and subdivision entry ways).

New Plant Material |
Watering out of cycle is allowed for new plant material. New material may be watered out of cycle for up to 60 days for establishment (Keep a receipt for proof of new material, before and after pictures are also helpful) A minimum of 50% of the area being water must contain new plants or sod New plant material may be watered in any time on the day of planting Restricted times outlined above must be followed

Fertilizer & Pesticide Applications: |
| Watering in of pesticides and fertilizers as required by the manufacturer of the product is allowed on any day. Signs must be posted on the lawn and the date of the application must be written clearly on the back of the sign. These applications are not restricted to the appointed irrigation day. |
Sprinkler System Maintenance: |
| Sprinkler systems may be run a maximum of ten minutes per zone to perform maintenance on the system. Each zone must be attended through the entire run time. Sprinkler maintenance is not restricted to the appointed irrigation day. |
Car Washing: |
Automobile washing is currently restricted to once per week. There are two days allotted for each address (Please see below). Automobiles may be washed on either day but not both in the same week. Additionally any hose being used must be fitted with an automatic shut-off device.
Address ending with an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, or 8) may wash cars on: Tuesday or Saturday
Address ending with an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, or 9) may wash cars on: Wednesday or Sunday
Commercial car washes are not currently restricted.
Under the current Water Shortage Order fund raiser car washes are allowed.

Fountains & Falls |
Runtime of fountains and falls is currently restricted to 8 hours per day. Fountains in retention ponds are not restricted (the aeration is necessary for the operation of the pond).

Violations |
Violations of these restrictions are a civil infraction punishable with fines up to $500.
First Violation - Written Warning Second Violation - $35 Fine Third Violation - $75 Fine Fourth or More - Mandatory Court Appearance Up To $500 Fine (Plus Court Cost) |
