Tell the operator where you're planning to dig, what type of work you will be doing and your affected local utility companies will be notified about your intent to dig. Using Flame or Graphite Furnace Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, the Laboratory analyzes samples for a variety of heavy metals. These include Arsenic, Antimony, Cadmium, Calcium, Chromium, Copper, Iron, Lead, Magnesium, Molybdenum, Nickel, Potassium, Selenium, Silver, and Zinc.


Using a continuous flow injection Autoanalyzer, the Laboratory analyzes samples for various nutrients. These include ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, phosphorous, and Total Kjeldahl nitrogen.
