| Industrial Pretreatment |
The City of Lakeland's Pretreatment Program was initially approved on May 28, 1985. The main goals of the Pretreatment Program are to protect the City's Wastewater Treatment Plants and Collection System from interference and pass-through, protect the Employees and the general public from adverse industrial impacts and to ensure that effluent water quality standards and sludge regulations are maintained.

| Lab Operations |
The Wastewater Laboratory is a comprehensive environmental testing facility certified by the State of Florida Department of Health. The Laboratory is certified in the following categories: Nutrients, Demands, Metals, Minerals, Organics, Physical Constituents, and Microbiology. The Laboratory participates in the US EPA Discharge Monitoring Quality Assurance (QA) Program, and The State of Florida Water Pollution Evaluation Program. The State of Florida Department of Health approves the Comprehensive QA Plan of the Laboratory.

| Plant Operations |
Plant Operations is responsible for maintaining and operating two water reclamation plants Glendale and Northside.

| Collection Systems |
The Collection Section is divided into two main operating sections. These section are the Line Maintenance and Pump Stations sections.
|
| Wetlands Treatment |
The City operates a 1,400 acre wetland treatment system located just east of the town of Mulberry, Florida. The wetland system serves as the final treatment process for both of the City's reclamation plants.
